15. Apply the Windo-Weld to the window frame.

Place yourself in a comfortable posture leaning over the car. A stool may provide needed height. Gently, without distorting the material, unroll a short section of Windo-Weld and lightly affix the free end sticky side down and about half way up the side of the window frame. The inner edge of the Windo-Weld must meet the inner edge of the window frame.

16. Unroll the weld slowly as you lay it on the frame. Hold the roll with one hand while guiding the free end with the other hand. Press the weld using only light pressure. Do not tug the Windo-Weld. Do not push the Windo-Weld. Avoid kinks in tight corners by allowing the paper cover to tear.

17. Once you have covered the circumfrence of the window frame with Windo-Weld, cut the Windo-Weld and butt the end of the Weld against the beginning. Do not overlap the ends. Scissors can be used to cut the Weld but care must be taken to unstick the Weld from the scissors without stretching the Weld or lifting it off the window frame.

18. Slowly and carefully remove the paper film from the Windo-Weld. Once the Weld is exposed, it is best to install the glass as soon as possible to avoid contamination of the gasket by bugs and other airborne assailants.

19. Lay padding material across the trunk.

Bring the rear window glass to the car and lay it on the pad, interior side down.

Affix the suction cups to the glass. Don't press too hard!

20. With an assistant, lay the glass into the frame. Each person should keep a grip on the glass as the suction cups may let go suddenly.

Gently place the glass trying to maintain a good alignment with the frame.

The glass can be moved slightly once it is against the Weld. Use your masking tape to align the glass or check your measurements.

Once the glass is in the position you desire, PRESS firmly. You will be able to see the Window-Weld spread and form a gasket about half an inch wide. The Weld has made a good seal when it has a dark, glossy appearance through the glass. Press again over any gaps you see in the Weld.

21. Place the setting blocks that were provided with the Windo-Weld between the bottom edge of the glass and the window frame. You may have to scoot up the glass and squeeze the blocks into position. I placed my blocks skinny side up about two clips towards the center of the car. (The speaker grille is visible just forward of this block.) Notice the glossy width of the seal underneath the glass.

Use your judgment to decide if it would be more helpful to have the blocks in place before laying down the glass.

22. Be brave and do a water test.

23. Replace the reveal trim that started this project in the first place!

Check to see that foam/rubber gaskets under the trim is good enough to reuse. If not, check your body supply store for a good substitute.

The trim goes on the car in a specific order. Start with the lower left trim piece and work counter clockwise around the window. Firmly attach each piece by striking firmly with a rubber hammer.

24. Find and reinstall the interior window frame.

25. Do a little dance. You're done!
