| Hamilton Antique and Classic Car Parade 2000 |

by Dave Duricy
The Antique and Classic Car Parade has been attracting great and rare automobiles to Hamilton, Ohio since the event began in 1954.It was during the Parade when a kindergarten auto enthusiast spotted a beautiful blue roadster in the chain of Packards and Model A Fords driving past. When it finally parked, the blue roadster with buckled-down spare tires, wire wheels, and a glittering grille-guard introduced itself as a Chrysler Imperial. Thanks to that Classic Imperial, you're reading The Imperialist today. Although that inspiring automobile has long since vanished, the parade continues. Bright weather combined with a fully charged digital camera urged me to return and view the 2000 Antique and Classic Car Parade hosted by the Antique and Classic Car Club of Butler County. This July 22nd the only Imperial present was mine in spectator parking, but other MoPars plus an array of antiques, Classics, collectibles and the occasional exotic made for enjoyable photography.
