In 1971, the brilliant Imperial finish was used to promote Vista Soft and Easy, a new, one-step, car-cleaner wax. The copy with this happy scene reads, "Vista's special forumula of jewler's polish and high gloss silicones cleans and waxes deep down. It keeps that Imperial shine, a shine like sterling. No wonder America's best car wax is now standard equipment in America's finest car."

When Imperial owners opened their owners manual, they found a coupon for a free sample of Vista.
