RealMedia Imperial Montages

These multimedia tributes to the art and grandure of Imperial combine Imperial's evocative commerical art with period music in an attempt to capture the mood of the cars and their times.

  • 1968 Imperial - Beautiful images of the 1968 Crown, LeBaron and Sedan, their environment and their owners.

  • NEW 1971 Imperial - Chrysler Corporation didn't know what it had in the 1971 Imperial. This "remake" of MoPar's rather poor 1971 Chrysler brochure puts the '71 Imperial in proper perspective.

  • 1973 Imperial - The haunting images of the 1973 Imperial prestige brochure are among the most unusual every used to sell an automobile. Faces with vacant gazes stare past lavish Imperials into points unseen.

    Imperial Advertising Art

Imperial was at the center of a universe separate from that of common men. In Imperial's orbit were gentlemen of means, glittering ladies of profound sophistication, and exclusive locales where Imperial owners stood comfortably in command.

This was the Imperial image projected from the glossy pages of America's magazines and Chrysler Corporation literature. These promotions made it clear that if her gown was by Dior, her automobile was naturally by Imperial. Though aristocratic, such elegance was easily attainable by the reader. Only a trip to the Imperial showroom was required.

Alas, the world has changed, and Imperial along with the society it complemented are vanished. The ads and their fantasy, however, tantalizingly remain. View a sampling of this lost world by selecting an Imperial from the list below, or take a guided, chronological tour, and let the golden arrows guide your way.
