| 1971 Imperial LeBaron |

| The Jet Age To those who have driven a 1971 Imperial it is not surprising that it took its inspiration from jet aircraft. It is a car of endless acceleration, and faultless handling through every curve and over every surface. This is a car that flies. Designers must have thought it only appropriate that the Imperial body be transformed into a wide-body aircraft hull. The roof of the car became domed, the sides arched outward, and the interior expanded to take advantage of the new space. This new approach to design was dubbed Fuselage Styling. Notice the functional air-intake. No meaningless, obsolete radiator shells for Imperial. This machine was built for driving.
