1937 Chrysler Royal

1937 Chrysler Royal

Oddities are to be expected at Auburn, such as this 1937 Chrysler Royal with town car body by Derham - at least that is how the sign identified the car. Look closely, and you can see that this bottom-line, six cylinder Chrysler has been transformed into a machine aspiring well beyond it original purpose. The driver's compartment is separate from the passenger cabin, and protected only with a snap-on top for inclement weather. A snobby body-style indeed!
