Chryslers & Imperials at Auburn '97

Some of the world's great cars have been displayed at the annual Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Festival held Labor Day weekend in Auburn, Indiana. For this reason, I have made it a point to attend the event almost every year. I've watched the auction and swap meet transform from a quaint gathering of Duesenbergs at the local high school, to a loud, crass, multi-marque circus performing at the Kruse auction grounds.

For '97, I'd read, there was to be a display of every Chrysler 300 built from 1955 to 1971, as well as Chrysler sponsorship. Chrysler was there, but I didn't find the Chrysler 300 display. Instead, there was a gathering of Chrysler Products hidden well behind the auction rings. I was delighted to see this wealth of unusual high-end Chryslers and rare Imperials. A few more interesting MoPars were scattered about the main grounds.

Without fear of reckless golf cart drivers or low-flying helicopters, you're invited to take a cyber-tour of the luxury MoPars I found in Auburn. Select from the list below to see the photos. Please, enjoy!
